Product Description
4800-742 is a value model of IBM SurePOS 700 family (xx2 series), providing a comprehensive back-office hardware solution design for high demand retail environment. It is one of the most powerful, high-impact point-of-sales (POS) solutions available and first of its kind with 64-bit enabled processors.

Config Notes

Kdump (SLE12SP2): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=153M,high crashkernel=112M,low using YaST.
Install: System installed using the internal DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader configuration. Hard disk configuration: RAID 1.
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to one of the SLES 12 FV guests. One of the integrated Intel Ethernet Server Adapter I350-T2 adapters was used in this testing.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.4.exe), the virtio network drivers were used during testing.
