Product Description
4800-743 is a value model of the IBM SurePOS 700 series which offers a high degree of choice for I/O connectivity, with easy and low cost field upgrade options available for major system components. This model optimizes performance and value, offering attractive technology and benefits that make them flexible enough to run as a thin or thick client and powerful enough to last through the years. It can serve both as a SLEPOS server and client.

Config Notes

Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
SLES update: SLES 12 SP5 kernel update "kernel-default-4.12.14-122.17.1" or later is required and was installed during certification testing. This kernel update contains a fix to the i40e.ko driver to fix an issue where the two RJ45 ports are not detected, only the two SFP+ ports are detected on the Intel Ethernet Controller X710-TM4 adapter. After the system has been registered with SCC you can install the update with the following command: zypper install kernel-default-4.12.14-122.17.1
