Product Description
4800-783 is the performance model of the IBM® SurePOS 700 which offer a high degree of choice for I/O connectivity, with easy and low cost field upgrade options available for major system components. This model is designed for a thick client environment, offering high-end technology and hard drive standard so that you are ready to load the latest SUSE® Linux Enterprise Desktop OS and applications.

Config Notes

Maintenance update: SLES 12 kernel update 136 is required and was installed during certification testing.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from https://download.suse.com/ (VMDP-WIN-2.2.exe).
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to one of the SLES 12 FV guests. One of the Intel I350-T4 ML2 GbE adapters was used in this testing.
Install: System installed using the internal DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 5.
