Config Notes
- Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports (system also has one integrated USB port). System was scaled up to 4-sockets by joining two x480 X6 with 4S scalability connector.
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard disk configuration: JBOD. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=6G dom0_max_vcpus=4.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.4.exe).
- SR-IOV/PCI Pass-through: Current system configuration does not support network SR-IOV or network PCI pass-through.
- Kdump (SLE12SP2): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=163M,high crashkernel=122M,low using YaST.
