This server offers feature-rich systems management capabilities from power management to proactive hardware monitoring. The Integrated Management Module (IMM) increases server availability by continuously monitoring your system and notifying you of potential system failures or changes. The Virtual Media key option provides remote presence capabilities without taking up a slot on the planar, while IBM Systems Director Active Energy Manager™ provides advanced power monitoring and notification.

Config Notes

Install: System installed using the internal DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where the network adapter was given to the SLES 11 SP2 x86-64 guest. One of the embedded Intel® 82574L Gigabit Ethernet adapters was used in this testing.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP2 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.0.exe).
