Config Notes
- Power management: The System/Processor dynamic CPU frequency scaling functionality in SLES is not supported on POWER8 (PowerVM) as this functionality is provided by the POWER8 hardware itself.
- Headless configuration - no graphics adapter. System configured using IBM remote Hardware Management Console (HMC) for graphics, keyboard and mouse.
- Install: The SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server install was performed using a network install method.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were changed based on the content in the following knowledge-base article: https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=3374462 SLES15 data is being updated in the same document and at current SLES 12 SP3 crashkernel values works fine.
