Product Description
The brocade 825 (dual port) 8Gbit/sec Fibre Channel to PCIe Host Bus Adapter (HBA) provides a new level of server connectivity through unmatched hardware and uniqe software capabilities. Brocade 825 is desgned to manage true end-to-end SAN services and enhanced server virtualization across next generation data centers. Brocade 825 maximizes bus throughput with a PCIe 2.0a Gen2 (x8) bus interface with intelligent lane negotiation, delivers up to 500,000 IOPs and 1600 MB/sec throughput in full-duplex mode per port.

Config Notes
- Headless configuration - no graphics adapter. System configured using IBM remote Hardware Management Console (HMC) for graphics, keyboard and mouse.
- Install: The SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server install was performed using a network install method.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were changed based on the content in the following knowledge-base article: https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=3374462 SLES15 data is being updated in the same document and at current SLES 12 SP3 crashkernel values works fine. Additional boot parameters are changed as per https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc/?id=7023433
- Power management: The System/Processor dynamic CPU frequency scaling functionality in SLES is not supported on POWER9 (PowerVM) as this functionality is provided by the POWER9 hardware itself.
