The Sun Blade X6240 Server Module is the first two-socket AMD Opteron™ blade for use in the Sun Blade 6000 and 6048 Modular Systems. A fast, reliable, and expandable x64 blade server that runs Novell® SLES 11, the Sun Blade X6240 Server Module is a key component in standardizing your infrastructure, helping to lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and simplifying data center management, all without compromise. Config Notes

Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 0
VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe).
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 x86_64 guest. One of the embedded Intel® Ethernet Controller I350-AM4 (Quad Port) adapters was used in this testing.
