Product Description
The Unisys ES5000 Model 5400B G1 server is a completely new design offering flexible options to support a broad range of workloads, including virtualization and enterprise applications. The ES5000 Model 5400B server delivers outstanding performance through the Intel® Xeon® X5680 6-core processors, with Quick Path Interconnect, high-speed I/O and fast, high-capacity memory options.

Config Notes
- Kdump (SLE12SP3): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=184M,high crashkernel=132M,low using YaST.
- Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports, system also has one built-in USB port.
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard disk configuration: HDD - single SATA drive, M.2 boot drive - two SSD configured as a RAID 1 device.
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to a SLES 12 SP3 guest. One of the integrated Ethernet Connection X722 for 10GBASE-T adapters was used in this testing.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.4.exe), the virtio network drivers were used during testing.
