Product Description
The Brocade 425 (dual port) 4 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel to PCIe Host Bus Adapter (HBA) provides a new level of server connectivity through unmatched hardware and unique software capabilities. Brocade 425 is designed to manage true end-to-end SAN services and enhanced server virtualization across next generation data centers. Brocade 425 maximizes bus throughput with a PCIe 2.0a Gen2 (x8) bus interface with intelligent lane negotiation, delivers up to 500,000 IOPs and 800 MB/sec throughput in full-duplex mode per port.

This is a SAN boot only system.
Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.12.18.3146.iso" and the driver package htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.12.18.3146_3.12.28_4-1.sles12.x86_64.rpm. To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346613.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
The driver "ixgbevf" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbevf use Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters and the driver package name is "intel-ixgbevf-2.16.4-2.1.x86_64.rpm" and "intel-ixgbevf-kmp-default-2.16.4_k3.12.28_4-2.1.x86_64.rpm". The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
