Product Description
The new Sun Fire X4270 M2 server offers maximum performance, scalability, and robust I/O bandwith in a compact 2RU (rack unit) enclosure. Offering the ultimate in flexibility with two storage configurations and two flash storage options, this server delivers massive data capacity and accelerated I/O performance, an excellent server in its class for clustered databases and virtualized workloads.

Config Notes

Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 0
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 SP1 x86_64 guest. One of the embedded Intel Ethernet Controller I350-AM4 (Quad Port) adapters was used in this testing.
