Product Description
With it's 64 DIMM slots and 10 PCIe2 slots, the Sun Fire X4470 delivers the features needed to consolidate web application servers and collaboration tools, as well as batch processing and enterprise performance management workloads by having a large virtualization capacity, extreme I/O and network bandwidth, large memory footprint and integrated Sun Flash Modules.

Config Notes

Power management: Hibernation/Suspend to Disk/ACPI S4 is NOT supported on this system.
Power management: System/Processor does NOT support fan thermal scaling.
Graphics: Video driver used in testing was downloaded from http://www.hp.com/support/workstations. Video driver is not SolidDriver-compliant and requires installation of kernel source and development tools.
Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameter was changed to 256 (crashkernel=512M-:256M) for kdump to function correctly.
System was tested with an Intel I210-T1 added as a second network adapter. The standard system configuration does not include the I210-T1 adapter.
