Product Description
This system is supported on SUSE® LINUX Enterprise Point of Service (SLEPOS). 4800-781 is a performance model of the IBM SurePOS 700 (xx1 series) point-of-sale (POS) system for retailers and grocers. It allows them to take advantage of the latest technology to improve the customer experience while streaming operations and leveraging existing investments. Available in a range of flexible, rugged systems that can be customized for any environment, these solutions deliver the advanced performance and reliability retailers have come to expect for IBM. Engineered to be attractive, easy to use and easy to maintain, the IBM SurePOS 700 supports diverse third-party applications and on demand operating environments. It can serve both as a SLEPOS server and client.

Config Notes
- Desktop Effects: Graphics driver/adapter does not support desktop effects.
- Power Management: System/Processor does not support throttling.
- Power Management: System/Processor does not support dynamic CPU frequency scaling.
- Power Management: S4 does not work with the default vesa driver. For it to work, the Intel driver should be used on this system. To change to the Intel driver, execute the following steps: (1) Edit the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf (2) Under section "Device", change the Driver parameter to "intel", then save. (3) Reboot the system.
