Sun Blade X6270 Server Module: Powered by the Intel® Xeon® Processor X5570, the Sun Blade X6270 server module helps customers scale their compute resources without adding complexity. The Sun Blade X6270 server module leverages PCIe2 technology to provide up to 270Gb/s of ultra fast I/O bandwidth. Config Notes
- Installation Kit: The lenovo_servers_thinksystem-sle12sp2-x86_64-1.0.iso installation kit is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. This installation kit must be downloaded and used to start the SLES installation. To obtain the installation kit go to: https://drivers.suse.com/lenovo/Lenovo-ThinkSystem/sle-12-sp2-x86_64/1.0/.
- Install: System installed using the internal DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Disk configuration: HDD and M.2 (boot) drives configured as separate RAID 1. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=16G dom0_max_vcpus=16.
- Kdump (SLE12SP2): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=172M,high crashkernel=122M,low using YaST.
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 FV guest. One of the integrated Ethernet Connection X722 for 1GbE adapters was used in this testing.
