Product Description
This product is based on Intel S5600 platform(5600 chipset and ICH10R),and Server Engine Pilot2 chip as the Server Management Controller. The platform consists of the X5670 processors, the 5600 chipset, the I/O Controller Hub (ICH10R), and the I/O subsystem. The S5600 series processors include the Intel QuickPath Interconnect, memory controller that resides within the processor package. Storage solution is Integrated ICH10R for SATA solution; Network solution is Intel 82576 Gigabit LOM.

Config Notes

Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 5.
Install: System installed using the internal DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where a network adapter was given to the SLES 11 SP3 x86-64 guest. The Intel® PRO/1000 PM (82571EB) Dual-Port Gigabit Ethernet adapter was used in this testing.
VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP3 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe), and the virtio network drivers were used during testing.
