Product Description
This product is based on Intel S5600 platform(5600 chipset and ICH10R),and Server Engine Pilot2 chip as the Server Management Controller. The platform consists of the X5670 processor, the 5600 chipset, the I/O Controller Hub (ICH10R), and the I/O subsystem. The S5600 series processors include the Intel QuickPath Interconnect, memory controller that resides within the processor package. Storage solution is Integrated ICH10R for SATA solution; Network solution is Intel 82576 Gigabit LOM.

Config Notes

This is a SAN boot only system.
The Hitachi SAS 3004 iMR ROMB and local HDD (hard disk drives) are not supported on this configuration.
Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
The driver "hfcldd.ko" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk (DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.15.22.4342.iso" and the driver package "htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.15.22.4342_4.12.14_195-1.sles15sp1.x86_64.rpm". To obtain DUD and the driver package, go to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12347905.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
The driver "ixgbe.ko" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbe used for Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters is named " ixgbe-kmp-default-5.6.3_k4.12.14_195-h1b.x86_64.rpm". This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES15 SP1 install. To obtain the driver go to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12347907.html.
