Config Notes
- Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
- The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.11.17.2166.iso" and the driver package "htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.11.17.2166_3.0.76_0.11-1.sles11sp3.x86_64.rpm".
To obtain DUD and the driver package goto http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346027.html .
DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
To install SLES to the SAN storage, refer to the document "Hitachi Gigabit Fibre Channel Adapter Users Guide(SUSE Linux Enterprise Server driver Edition)" on http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346027.html
- This is a SAN boot only system.
- The maximum CPU cores which can be allocated from LPAR is 64.
