Config Notes
- The PLDP compliant LAN driver used during testing was installed from the following rpms: intel-e1000e-1.2.20-1.x86_64.rpm. These drivers can be downloaded and installed after the SLES install. To obtain the driver go to: http://drivers.suse.com/driver-process/pub/update/Intel/sle11sp1/common/x86_64/
- The SM712 video driver comes from Intel web site (S1200BTS on-board video driver)http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20001&lang=eng Please follow the steps below to install the driver: 1. Click Download to download the file smi-xserver-sm712-intel-2010119-R1.zip, choose I accept
when the pop window occur. 2. Unzip the file. 3. Copy the smi-xserver-sm712-intel.tgz to the SUT. 4. Unzip the file with command tar zxvf smi-xserver-sm712-intel.tgz. 5. Enter the directory: cd smi-xserver-sm712/sles11.1_64bit/ (this is for SLES11SP1 64bit. For i586, please use sles11.1_32bit instead). 6. Execute command : ./install. 7. After installation complete, type command init 3. 8. Put in the user name and password when enter the CLI interface. 9. Then input init 5 to enter the GUI interface again. Then the driver can be successfully installed.
