Sun Blade X6270 Server Module: Powered by Intel Xeon Processor X5570, This server module helps customers scale their computer resources without adding complexity. This server module leverages PCIe2 technology to provide up to 270Gb/s of ultra fast I/O bandwidth. With it's 18 DIMM slots and 4 drive bays, this 2-socket blade server offers streamlined management, breakthrough performance, and superior energy efficiency to run the most demanding workloads including Web, enterprise, database, grid and virtualization.

Config Notes

Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Disk configuration: HDD SATA drive.
Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports, system also has one built-in USB port.
Persistent Memory: The Persistent Memory in the system was configured in Memory Mode only.
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to a SLES 15 SP2 guest. One of the Intel Integrated Ethernet Connection X722 for 10GbE SFP+ (Quad-Port) adapters was used in this testing.
