Gemini 1U dual-node server with system product names: Acer AW1000-AW170 F1, Acer AW1000-AW170d F1, Acer AW1000-AW170q F1. System includes up to 2 nodes, with dual CPU sockets, 12 DDR3 DIMM slots. One PCIEx16 Gen2 slot and dual onboard gigabit Ethernet controllers with Intel® I/O Acceleration Technology 2 (IOAT 2), VT-d and iSCSI boot and integrated BMC management feature.

Config Notes

Hard disk configuration: RAID 0 and RAID 1.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 12 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe).
Install: System installed using the internal DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader configuration.
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where one of the host network adapters was given to one of the SLES 12 guests. One of the embedded Intel Ethernet Controller I350-AM4 adapters was used in this testing.
