Config Notes
- This is a SAN boot only system.
- Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
- The driver "htc-hfcldd" are used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.12.21.4284.iso" and the driver package "htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.12.21.4284_4.4.21_69-1.sles12sp2.x86_64.rpm". To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12347379.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
- The driver "ixgbevf" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbevf used for Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters is named "intel-ixgbevf-4.1.2-2.1.x86_64.rpm" and "intel-ixgbevf-kmp-default-4.1.2_k4.4.21_69-2.1.x86_64.rpm". This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES12SP2 installation. To obtain the driver go to: http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12347346.html
- The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
