Product Description
This product is based on the Intel® Thurley platform (Tylersburg 24D chipset and ICH10R), and Pilot II chip as the Server Management Controller. The Thurley platform consists of the Gainstown processor, the Tylersburg IOH (24D), the I/O Controller Hub (ICH10R), and the I/O subsystem. The Gainstown processor includes the Intel QuickPath Interconnect memory controller that resides within the processor package. The Storage solution is Integrated ICH10R for SATA devices; the network solution is the Intel 82576 Gigabit LOM.

Config Notes

VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP3 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe).
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where the network adapter was given to the SLES 11 SP3 x86-64 guest. One of the embedded Intel Ethernet Controller I350-AM4 adapters was used in this testing.
Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 0 and RAID 1.
