Product Description
The FibreCAT TX24 S2 is an ultra compact LTO tape library with up to 24 media slots and up to two drives on two height units. The new FibreCAT TX24 S2 systems are connected via SAS, FibreChannel or SCSI interface to the server. The second generation of the FibreCAT TX24 magnetic tape systems is optimized for low power consumption, the use of environmentally friendly materials, as well as high and easy scalability. The FibreCAT TX24 S2 is equipped with LTO technology, which is synonymous with high capacity, high speed and very low media costs. The tape library offers a storage capacity of 38.4 TB (LTO-4 compressed*) in just two height units. The new FibreCAT TX24 S2 systems support either one or two LTO-3 HH (half height) or LTO-4 HH drives with SAS, FibreChannel or SCSI interface. Because all 24 slots are already built in the other 12 slots can be easily activated via a software license. Like all SME products from Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the FibreCAT TX24 S2 is also easy to use, very reliable and extremely good value.
