What is the package kernel-trace for?

Situation

Among the well-known kernel flavors there is now also a package kernel-trace.

Resolution

This is a special kernel which can be used for tracing as the name already implies. Especially utrace and ftrace can be used to analyse the kernel. You can find more about these too kernel trace facilities here:
