SUSE Hack Week 9 Begins April 8

March 25, 2013

SUSE engineering team invites open source enthusiasts worldwide to explore ideas and passions

Nuremberg, Germany

The SUSE® engineering team invites developers worldwide to SUSE Hack Week 9. During this event hundreds of SUSE engineers and external contributors spend an interruption-free week working alone or with teams on open source projects of their own choice at SUSE engineering sites around the globe. Awards will be given for the best ideas, the craziest adventures, and the most valuable contributions.

Since 2007, SUSE Hack Week has been an important part of SUSE's culture—one that influences and helps shape future product development. SUSE customers benefit from the creativity of a passionate global community sharing and developing ideas and different approaches that often become part of SUSE's future solutions and technologies.

For contributors and developers, SUSE Hack Week is an opportunity to innovate, collaborate across teams, and learn what it is like to work at SUSE. Many current employees were first introduced to SUSE through their participation in a Hack Week. With nearly 40 open positions today, SUSE uses Hack Week as an important tool in its recruiting efforts.
