Oracle Forges Partnership with SUSE to Drive Adoption of Oracle Software for Linux

The Linux industry's first enterprise-level application server, Oracle iAS, is now available.

Oracle Corp. today announced the availability of the first enterprise-level application server for Linux, Oracle Internet Application Server 8i (Oracle iAS).

Oracle also announced extensive marketing agreements with Caldera, SUSE TurboLinux and VA Linux to drive further adoption of Oracle software into the Linux market, including Oracle iAS. These key Linux partnerships, combined with the fact that Oracle iAS includes the market-leading Apache web listener, position Oracle iAS to be the definitive choice among the growing open-source developer community.
