Error while configuring SUMA Proxy Server through script

Environment

SUSE Manager Proxy Server 4.3

Situation

The following error is observed while configuring the SUSE Manager Proxy Server:
 
# configure-proxy.sh /etc/sysconfig/rhn/systemid:1: parser error : Document is empty ^ unable to parse /etc/sysconfig/rhn/systemid SUSE Manager Parent [server.domain.com]: Using CA Chain (from /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date): /usr/share/rhn/RHN-ORG-TRUSTED-SSL-CERT

Resolution

Patch the SUSE Manager Proxy Server to current to obtain all the latest packages, including the problem script.

Cause

An outdated script was present on the SUSE Manager Proxy Server, while the SUSE Manager Server had already been patched to current and so had all the latest packages.
