SUMA 4.0 and 3.x client IP address not updated in Web interface after change

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15
SUSE Manager 3.x
SUSE Manager 4

Situation

The IP address of a client connected to SUSE Manager has changed, while the previous IP address of the client remains shown in the SUSE Manager Web Interface

Salt grain command however properly shows the updated IP address on the client.

# salt 'your_client_hostname' grains.item ipv4

Resolution

To refresh the client IP Address in the Web Interface follow the following steps:

System -> Overview 
Details -> Hardware -> Schedule Hardware Refresh
System -> Overview 
Details -> Hardware 
click on client

click on client

Check run: 
Events -> History
Check IP

Cause

The IP address of a client connected to SUSE Manager has changed, but there is no automatic hardware refresh on the web interface, this is a manual action.

Hardware changes being automatically refreshed on the Web interface, are currently considered for a future release.
