Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 SP2
Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2

Attempting to run an non-interactive update with the commands "zypper update -y" or, alternatively, "zypper update --no-confirm" on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 or SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 SP2 still requires user intervention to continue.

Use "zypper -n update" instead.

The "-n" option is a global option that switches zypper to non-interactive mode. In this mode zypper doesn't ask the user to type answers to various prompts but uses default answers automatically.
