New Management Team Members at SUSE Linux

Today, SUSE Linux announced the expansion of its management team. With immediate effect, Gregory Blepp assumes responsibility for the international activities, and David Burger heads the corporate business.

The two internationally experienced IT managers fill in two central positions in the SUSE Linux Management Team. As the head of the Business Unit "Corporate Users", David Burger serves large corporate customers such as T-Online, and the insurance group Debeka with a comprehensive range of consulting, development, implementation, and training services. The new VP International, Gregory Blepp, will handle the worldwide sale of SuSE products and services. SUSE international customers are serviced through subsidiaries in the US, England, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Overall, the company ships its products to more than 70 countries.

Competence for the International Enterprise Business

Gregory Blepp, Vice President InternationalGregory Blepp, born 1960, has been active in the IT sector for more than 20 years. He began his professional career in the Sales division of Mitsubishi Electric. Later, he served in executive positions in the Sales, Marketing, and Operations divisions at Seagate, Cheyenne Software, and Computer Associates. This was followed by a two-year period as Managing Director of Network Associates Germany. Before he joined SUSE Gregory Blepp operated as an external consultant for IT companies.

David Burger, Vice President Corporate Users DivisionDavid Burger, born 1964, has extensive experience in the field of IT services. In 1986, following his graduation from Melbourne University as Bachelor of Commerce, he joined Andersen Consulting, where his main activity consisted of the supervision of SAP implementations. In 1991 he moved on to SAP AG, where he was Global Account Manager for Procter & Gamble and established SAP China and Taiwan. From 1996 on, he served in the position of Director of Enterprise Applications at IBM Global Services, assuming responsibility for the implementation of SAP, Oracle, and Baan applications at large customers. In this function, he was initially active in Asia Pacific and subsequently in EMEA.
