SUSE Announces SUSE OpenStack Cloud 6

SUSE OpenStack Cloud 6 is now available to help customers build Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) private clouds with less stress on IT staff and resources. Based on the OpenStack release Liberty, it delivers high availability enhancements and non-disruptive upgrades for future releases, along with Docker and IBM z Systems mainframe support to make it easier to move business-critical applications and data to the cloud. In addition, SUSE is offering new OpenStack training and certification for deployment and operation of OpenStack private clouds. Learn more ›

SUSE Enterprise Storage 2.1—Powered by Ceph—Now Available

SUSE has released SUSE Enterprise Storage 2.1. Based on SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 SP1, this latest version of SUSE's self-managing, self-healing, distributed software-based storage solution is the first and only Ceph-based solution with heterogeneous operating system support, giving customers the ability to deploy software-defined storage with less cost. Huawei Launches Mission-critical Server that Runs on SUSE

Huawei has announced KunLun, the first 32-socket x86 mission-critical server. In keeping with Huawei’s strategy of collaborating to build a cooperative and win-win ecosystem, Huawei worked with industry-leading partners to develop KunLun—including SUSE. All SUSE images contain a date stamp in the name, such as v20160308, making it easy to always identify the latest image.
