SUSE Embraces Open Source NFV for Software-defined Data Center Offerings

SUSE has joined the Open Platform for Network Function Virtualization (OPNFV) Project as a Platinum member. OPNFV is an integrated, carrier-grade open source platform for accelerating the introduction of new products and services that use network function virtualization (NFV) to the software-defined data center. These efforts will directly benefit SUSE telecom and other customers and partners who need carrier-grade capabilities. SUSE also plans to add NFV to SUSE solutions, including SUSE Linux Enterprise, SUSE OpenStack Cloud and SUSE Enterprise Storage.
