First FIPS Certificate for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 has received certification for its first FIPS module: OpenSSL (Cert#2435). The other SUSE FIPS modules of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 are currently in the process of validation. The FIPS publication 140-2, "Security Requirements for Cryptographic Modules," is a U.S. government computer security standard.

Teradata Extends Original Seven-year Relationship with SUSE for Seven More Years

SUSE is a founding member of IO Visor, an open source project and a community of developers dedicated to accelerating the innovation, development and sharing of new IO and networking functions.
