ovpnstatd is a status collector daemon for OpenVPN. A part of collecting data of openvpn-sessions, it also displays the data on a simple but useful web page. The program also provides a hook for sending “passive notifications” to Nagios with “send_nsca”.

SLP Snoop for Linux and Windows

A Shell script to get the shutdown and up-time of a Linux box. Works well on Red Hat and SUSE box. You can also create a cron job which will send mail to (admin@yourcompany.com) about the run-time, shutdown time, and the start-up time of the Linux box.

How to configure SLES 11 to cache and send log events to Sentinel via rsyslogd

If you are using syslog or syslog-ng to send log events to Sentinel, you might have noticed that if there are communication problems with the collector manager, your events might be lost.

You can get around this limitation by installing rsyslogd, which is included in your SLES 11 installation media.
