This summer Novell officially launched SUSE Gallery, an online showcase designed to share and promote software built with SUSE Studio. The first thing visitors notice is that anyone can share an appliance that they made with SUSE Studio. This is a good strategy for Novell to take, as at it makes the development process very inclusive — even for people just tinkering with SUSE Studio.

As a marketer, I tend to focus on people’s creativity in building and branding the appliances. Earlier this week, we officially launched SUSE Gallery – an online venue within SUSE Studio that allows users to build and publish their appliances. Once published, the appliance is available for end users to view and download.

Four weeks have passed since the Salt Lake City leg of the BrainShare tour and I’m finally sitting down to reflect on our shared experiences with our SUSE Appliance Program ISV partners…. The Pavilion was also the base camp of our official Dister (http://www.twitvid.com/55D45) mascot who was seen walking the floor handing out goodies and stopping for photo ops.
