Shortly before many of us took off on a December holiday, HP announced an update to their Serviceguard for Linux solution. We at SUSE are excited to see HP has recognized the growing importance of Linux, and our flavor of Linux in particular, in the enterprise data center by providing support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 in Serviceguard for Linux. Serviceguard has been HP’s clustering technology for HP-UX for twenty years, providing business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities. With this announcement they have extended that support to cover more x86 Linux environments as well.

At SUSE we pride ourselves on offering customers choice when implementing data center solutions. In addition to our own SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension, HP and SUSE customers now have another option for implementing a high availability solution in their Linux environment.

Visit the HP and SUSE partner sites for more information on how we are working together to bring our customers the best solutions available for their IT needs.
