Contest Details

We are collecting information that we can share with people who have just downloaded a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server  (SLES) Eval, to help them have a great experience installing and testing the product and getting the free patches and updates.

We believe there is nothing like a true story from someone who’s been there, done that.  That’s where you come in.  If you have installed SLES recently and would like to share your experiences, this contest is for you.  Write up your experiences in a nice juicy essay on one of these themes:

  • What I Wish I’d Known When I First Installed SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
  • How to put the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Eval to the Test

  1. Minimum length: 750 words
  2. Entries will be judged by a panel of premium service engineers and 3 winners will be chosen and ranked.
  3. The Grand Prize winner will receive a pebble Time Smartwatch.
  4. Two runners-up will receive Raspberry Pi 2 Kits*.
  5. All winning entries will be published in SUSE Conversations as award-winners (no additional SUSE Rewards Points will be awarded).
  6. All entries not selected for prizes are still eligible for publication as in SUSE Conversations, and can earn SUSE Rewards Points.  (Subject to the technical review process, as usual.)
  7. Entries must be the original work of the submitter.
  8. Screenshots and images welcome — all must be the original work of the submitter.
  9. No limit to the number of entries you may submit.
