This time the IBM Systems Technical University is in Orlando the week of May 22nd, and once again my colleagues and I will be there showcasing SUSE solutions for IBM Power Systems.

Power Systems servers are designed for Big Data and analytics, and there are a lot of mission-critical SAP ERP and BPM systems deployed on POWER-based servers because of their performance, scalability, and reliability. SUSE delivers the only Linux platform for SAP HANA on Power servers. IBM customers, partners, and sellers will have opportunities to learn why SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications is the superior platform for SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA on Power Systems. Only SUSE includes a tool to prioritize SAP application performance, powerful features to ensure high availability and fast recovery (including the SAP HANA in-memory data), data security options, and many tools that make it faster and easier to deploy SAP systems.

If you’re planning to be at the conference, please be sure to stop by SUSE kiosk #40 and let us talk to you about your transition to align with SAP’s strategy for Digital Transformation and the all-Linux SAP S/4HANA applications. Also be sure to add the breakout session “What has SUSE Linux done lately for POWER and SAP HANA? Turns out quite a lot.” to your agenda. It’s presented by Jay Kruemcke, SUSE Product Manager and IBM Champion (also known by his Twitter handle “@mr_sles”), on Tuesday at 10:15 in room Sabal D. He’ll tell you about the latest innovations from SUSE that are specifically for Power Systems.

I’m looking forward to some great conversations with the IBM Power Systems crowd. And maybe a little Florida sightseeing on the weekend.
