SUSE Expands PartnerNet Support to SAP Channel Partners
SUSE has been a global company pretty much from the start of its existence, but we’re getting frequent flyer miles for all the shows we’re hitting this week, as we meet with partners, developers and most importantly, customers all over the world.
Yesterday, we announced the general availability of the Dell SUSE Cloud Solution at the OpenStack Summit in Portland, OR and the availability of SUSE Enterprise Linux on Microsoft’s Windows Azure platform at the Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit in San Francisco – two announcements that go a long way to demonstrating our experience and expertise in private and public cloud environments.
Today, we’re half a world away in Bratislava, Slovakia, at this year’s SAP Business One HANA TechSummit, where we’re pretty exited to announce the extension of our PartnerNet program to more fully support SAP channel partners who will be deploying SAP HANA.
That might seem like a disconnect, offering support and training to SAP’s partners, but there’s a very important reason why this is happening: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server is the recommended and supported OS for SAP HANA, so it’s critical that SAP partners know how to deploy, manage, and support SUSE’s enterprise OS.
Specifically, PartnerNet participants will get access to a special-edition of the SUSE Installation Wizard, an easy-to-use installation tool for SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA. They’ll also be able to tap into SUSE electronic sales support and tailored on-line technical training to become a SUSE Certified Linux Administrator so they can use SUSE Linux Enterprise Server more effectively.
SAP HANA is a great tool for small to mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) to obtain big data benefits by analyzing data in real time. When SAP’s channel partners get more solid on working with the underlying operating system for SAP HANA, they will be in a position to better serve those SMEs and integrate SAP HANA with existing IT infrastructure.
That’s why we’re in Bratislava this week, to start the ball rolling and begin to educate and collaborate with SAP’s global network of channel partners. It’ll be a great event, so be sure to stop by and visit us to find out more about our support for SAP HANA.
