State of the Beta – SUSE Enterprise Storage 5

Hi folks!

We are close to the finalization of our SUSE Enterprise Storage 5 release, but our Public Beta Program is still opened!

So you can always watch the following “An Introduction to SUSE Enterprise Storage 5” video or checkout our Public Beta web page for more technical details, but you can also try it by yourself!

Beta SUSE Enterprise Storage 5, based on the Ceph Luminous release, broadens the scope and use cases for the SUSE Software Defined Storage solution. The new “BlueStore” enablement increases performance by a factor of two or more. More pervasive support of erasure coding increases the efficiency of the fault tolerant solution. And efficiency is enhanced with data compression.

We also did a lot of improvement to deepsea and openATTIC, and last but not least, SES 5 is based on new release: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 3.
