SAP Data Intelligence supported on Rancher Kubernetes Engine

The SAP and SUSE teams successfully validated SAP Data Intelligence  (DI) 3.1 with both Rancher RKE and RKE2 . SAP DI is SAP’s product to provide data integration and machine learning services that allow customer to integrate systems and analyze data to create new insights. The components of SAP Data intelligence run containerized, orchestrated by Kubernetes.

With the SAP DI validation, IT admins can now setup SAP DI on a SUSE stack that is CNCF certified and comes with enterprise support by SUSE. With the Rancher Management Server, administrators can manage all their Kubernetes clusters – including the clusters needed for SAP DI – with a unified framework to simplify the Kubernetes administration.

For persistent storage, SAP DI can use storage provided by Longhorn that is easy to setup from Rancher.

Previously, SAP DI has been validated on SUSE CaaS Platform. With SAP DI running on RKE, we have the first validated and supported SAP solution with our new SUSE Rancher portfolio and customers can migrate from SUSE CaaS Platform to the new SUSE Rancher stack.
