openSUSE Taiwan joined and sponsored COSCUP 2017
COSCUP is an annual conference held by Taiwanese Open source community participants since 2006. It’s a major force of Free software movement advocacy in Taiwan and aim to provide a platform to connect Open Source coders, users, and promoters, and promote FLOSS (Free/Libre and Open Source Software) with the annual conference.
As a sponsor, we had a booth to demo and show the latest openSUSE Leap 42.3, a gift to visitor who stop by and to take photo with Geeko.
This year we had 3 sessions to present, to share and to discuss the following topics
-
ACPI Device Tree and Hot Remove Flow ( by Joey Lee )
-
Introduce open build service (OBS) and BYOOBS ( by Al Cho )
-
High Performance Networking in Linux ( by Gary Lin )
As part of SUSE Labs, we keep on study and invest time for open source technology, not only to apply on SUSE and openSUSE but also contribute to the upstream.
