Installing SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP® Applications 12 Service Pack 1 for POWER

I would like to expand on what Jay Kruemcke mentioned in his blog concerning the release of SAP HANA 2 and its support for little-endian on IBM POWER Systems.

You would expect to download the SLES for SAP Applications 12 SP1 for POWER installation media and then start the installation. Actually you will download SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP1 for POWER, perform the installation and then run a simple migration script to migrate the SLES install to SLES for SAP Applications.

To be clear, these extra steps are only necessary for SLES for SAP Applications 12 SP1. The process will go back to what you would expect once SAP has certified SLES for SAP Applications 12 SP2.
