Fujitsu performance on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server

Last January, Alan Clark sat down with his good friend, Yoshiya Eto, to discuss a wide range of topics. One of those topics is on Fujitsu’s performance running on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES). A couple of benchmark results for SPECint_rate2006 and SPECfp_rate20016 place their PRIMEQUEST servers at the top. You can see the actual results in this week’s video interview with Eto. Eto indicated that Fujitsu is able to achieve these benchmark results because SUSE is refreshing its kernel every year.

Another key aspect to performance, especially as it relates to SAP, is the fact that Fujitsu, SUSE and SAP have been tuning SLES in the SAP Performance Lab in EMEA for a very long time. You can see the results of this collaboration in the FUJITSU Integrated System PRIMEFLEX for SAP HANA® and the FUJITSU Integrated System PRIMEFLEX for SAP Landscapes solutions.
