From Paris with Love
Last week, I had the great pleasure of being among the team representing SUSE at HPE’s Technology and Solutions Summit (aka HPE TSS) in Paris. HPE’s largest and most comprehensive technical and solutions knowledge transfer event is aimed at presales consultants and solutions architects from HPE and their partners, bringing together teams from within HPE and their partner community all with the aim of sharing knowledge about their products and services.
Around 3,000 delegates converged upon the City of Lights to learn, exchange ideas and have a little fun in the city that is home to Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum, the legendary Eiffel Tower, and of course the many creperies serving up delicious treats to hungry visitors!
Springtime in Paris
The event was great fun – held in the enormous Expo Porte de Versailles, we had the pleasure of meeting a great many members of the HPE teams, and helped them better understand how SUSE services can help them to help their customers. Discussions around application delivery, software-defined storage and migrating to SAP S/4HANA were prevalent, and indicative of the many problems that were impacting HPE customers around the world. It was great to see delegates from all around the EMEA region so keen to take home their own baby Geeko chameleons!
Our very own Bryan Gartner was there speaking about SAP Data Hub, helping attendees to better understand how enterprises can overcome the constraints of a complex data landscape, as well as sharing his thoughts on how businesses can overcome the various challenges that they might face when designing an SAP Data Hub environment.
A Winning Partnership
SUSE and HPE have been partners for 25 years now, and it’s a partnership that we are proud of that has helped businesses the world over to solve their IT transformation headaches. Whether you’re looking for a private cloud, almost infinitely scalable software-defined storage, a platform to orchestrate and manage your containerized applications and services, a solution for your migration to S/4HANA on Linux or an application delivery platform that can bring an advanced cloud native developer experience to Kubernetes, SUSE and HPE have something to help.
One of the highlights of any trip to Paris has to be the varied culinary experiences that you can enjoy there – whether you’re a fan of escargots, homard (aka lobster), foie gras, steak, crepes or just jolly good cheese, there’s an option for you in the City of Lights!
