It gives me great pleasure to announce that four of our talented colleagues at SUSE have been recognised by CRN in their Women of the Channel listing for 2021.

They are:

  • Rachel Cassidy, SVP Global Cloud & Channels
  • Sherry Yu, Global Director of Cloud Success Architect for SAP
  • Marlen von Roth, Sales Director EMEA Cloud
  • Jamie Rabhany, Director, Americas Marketing

They are amongst an accomplished group of women in the channel who have demonstrated unique strength, vision and achievements in the last twelve months, in order to be awarded this accolade.

What is the CRN Women of the Channel List?

CRN’s Women of the Channel seeks to highlight and celebrate the accomplishments of women in the channel – not because they are women – but because their accomplishments are worth shouting about!  By highlighting their success, we can promote the work of women in our industry and help to tackle diversity in the channel.

So, what have our SUSE colleagues been doing this year that has earned them this recognition? Let’s take a look:

The SUSE Women of the Channel 2021

Rachel Cassidy is the highest-ranking channel executive at SUSE and is no stranger to this acclaim, having appeared in both the 2020 and 2013 lists. This year, Rachel has been recognised for her development of the five-star rated SUSE One Partner Program: a ground-breaking new initiative that both recognises the vital role that partners play in delivering solutions, and supports them to respond to the market in a way that suits their own strategic goals. Rachel’s holistic and consultative approach help to drive the success of both SUSE partners and her own team with one of her own team members, Sherry Yu, also being recognised in this coveted list.

Sherry Yu joined SUSE last year but she has already demonstrated her proactivity and leadership by identifying and overcoming several technical roadblocks that were limiting our potential. By pushing our success with SAP solutions, Sherry has quickly won several large customers and has demonstrated that she is a thoughtful and collaborative  colleague who is highly valued by her team and by our partners – even being recognised as a serious contender for the annual SUSE Game Changer award! Sherry is committed to solving real life problems for our customers and providing cutting edge solutions so I’m sure Sherry will have a fantastic year ahead.

Marlen von Roth leads a team of Partner Executives who support our MANAGE partners in EMEA. As a leader of that team, she has made huge strides forward with our MANAGE partners. This is Marlen’s second consecutive year in the CRN Women of the Channel list and her focus for this year is to continue to make it as easy as possible for our partners to use SUSE in their as-a-service offerings.

Jamie Rahbany has been celebrated for her leadership in strategic marketing at SUSE for many years, but this year, her role in directing an all-encompassing shift to digital marketing has been recognised. Thanks to the work of Jamie and her team, our partners were able to respond to the digital demand for marketing resources, as a result of their tight alignment with channel sales and relationship development with strategic partners.  With her year ahead focused on fully integrating Rancher and recruiting new partners, I’m sure Jamie will be able to work her magic once again!

Congratulations from all of us

I’m sure you’ll agree that it is heartening to learn how each of these women have made a very unique contribution to the channel, through very different expertise but through a common commitment to innovation during these turbulent times.

As explained by Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company, “CRN’s 2021 Women of the Channel list acknowledges accomplished, influential women whose dedication, hard work, and leadership accelerate channel growth. We are proud to honor them for their many accomplishments and look forward to their continued contributions to the IT channel.”

And I couldn’t agree more! Congratulations Rachel, Sherry, Marlen and Jamie – we are all delighted that you have achieved this recognition and we wish you continued success for the year ahead.
