We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times. One thing that can be certain, is our commitment to service you, your colleagues, students and everyone in the academic community.

The academic community across the world is being forced to find new ways to educate and learn from afar. Distance Learning has become a trending topic in education of all levels and SUSE has been practicing this for some time. The SUSE Academic Program and all of the courses are available on demand, so your students can access the resources from the comfort of their home.  Instruction is provided in video format, curriculum can be downloaded in a PDF and the labs are delivered virtually in the cloud, so all that is required is connection to the internet!

Some of the resources you can continue to use during these uncertain times include;

  • Cloud Hosted Lab Environments
  • Virtual Classes – On Demand Technical Training Courses led by certified industry instructors
  • Curriculum – Available for download and distribution in PDF format

With all of the challenges that COVID 19 has presented our people, businesses and communities, the one thing it can’t stop is our desire to learn. Some will use this time as a much deserved chance to rest, but others see it as an opportunity to complete something they have been wanting to get done for years. If you are a student, educator or member of the academic community, you can take our On Demand Training Courses and complete SUSE Certification Exams on any device, anytime and from anywhere. As a result, when the dust settles and the lives we consider “business as usual” resume, you will have a valuable industry recognized credential and a leg up on your peers.

For educators, we understand it is more challenging to organize, coordinate and deliver education now than it has ever been before. We want to make this strange transition as easy as possible by enabling you and your students with the resources to learn from home. You can simply share the website (suse.com/academic) with your colleagues or students and encourage them to register an account to participate. If you need any help, have questions or concerns, please reach out to Brendan directly at brendan.bulmer@suse.com.

Last but not least, please stay healthy and well. From all of us at SUSE, best wishes to you and yours.
