Crop, Reduce Red-Eye, and Add Sepia Tones to Your Photos in SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10
F-Spot, the powerful photo browser, editor, and export tool bundled with SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 gives you the power to crop, reduce red-eye and adjust color like the pros. Here’s a tip to help you make the most of your digital snapshots.
- Open F-Spot from your Computer menu
- Double-click the photo you wish to edit or click the Edit Photo icon on your toolbar.
Crop
- Use your mouse to draw a rectangle selection on the photo.
- Click the Contraints button to constrain the aspect ratio of your rectangle.
- Click the Crop button to crop the photo to the selected area.
Reduce Red Eye
- Use your mouse to draw a rectangle selection around the red eyes in the photo.
- Click the Red Eye Removal button to replace the red eye color with a more neutral tone.
Change Color, Brightness, and Hue
- Click the Color Correction button.
- Adjust the scales of color, brightness, hue, tint, and white balance as necessary.
Create a Black and White Photo
- Click the Color to Black and White button.
Create a Sepia Toned Photo
- Click the Sepia Tone button.
Go Back to the Original Version
- To the left of the editing window, click the button next to Version.
- Select Original.
