When implementing a SLES server it is just as important, from a security standpoint, to keep the server patched up to date. If you’ve set your SLES Server Permissions to be “Secure” instead of the default “Easy” (in the local security menu) you may find that installing and running the Access Manager components are a bit troublesome due to some flaws in the installation routines. Doing a little directory permissions preparation sorts it out for you simply enough.
