Because this isn’t official documentation, our articles, blogs and Free Tools are almost never supported. Which means, if you call SUSE Support for help undoing anything related to content you found here, they won’t be able to help you.
On the other hand, many people have found great value in seeing how other people are getting things done using SUSE products, and using the purpose-built Free Tools to streamline and speed specific tasks. We just encourage you to test everything in a non-production environment so you can find out for yourself how well it works for you.

How does the SUSE Blog relate to the SUSE Discussion Forums?
The SUSE Forums are a fantastic place to go post questions. They are monitored closely by a hardy band of seasoned product gurus called Knowledge Partners, who have to earn their way into that group by demonstrating their breadth and depth of knowledge. That is the right place to go if you need to know something but it isn’t urgent enough to call Support.
the SUSE Blog is complementary to the Forums. Many of our authors are the same Knowledge Partners who respond to questions in the forums. But on our site, they post articles that are organized in a more traditional way, so they are complete in themselves without requiring you to read down through multiple pages of nested threads to get to the answer.
Also, the SUSE Blog is the repository of the Free Tools, and it contains articles written by partners, SUSE employees, and power users from around the world.
So in a nutshell:
- If you have a question, take it up in the forums.
- If you have a technical solution, share it with us in the SUSE Blog.
- If you want to interact with SUSE Executives, engineers, and marketing teams, leave comments on their Expert Views posts.
